Lirie Progress Thread [ Game Creation / Twine ]

Way back in Ye Olden Days, I downloaded the program Ren'Py, and I learnt the basics of how to use it. And honestly? I had a lot of fun with it! I figured out how to make a small game with choices and hidden values, Googled the kinds of things it was capable of, poked around the code of games which left the source files available...
I learned a lot! And then... never actually made anything with those skills. _(:3 」∠ )_
But I saw a post recently on bsky (thank you Arimia) and it got me thinking... what if. What if, on top of all my other half-finished projects, I make a little VN story in December? That's a silly idea, Lirie. You probably shouldn't do that.

So I decided that's gonna be my new goal!! I want to make a VN in December - just something really small, a little game with a few cute scenes, not too much pressure attached - and I'm going to use Ren'Py to make it, since I already have a little experience with Ren'Py
(I also have SO many OCs, and I just want a way to share them / show them off a little more! tell their stories!)
With that, this is gonna be a joint 'relearn how Ren'Py works / write a short story / MAKE THAT VN' thread for me! Probably slightly less active until December starts, but who knows... I already downloaded Ren'Py 8 to see how much has changed, and I can feel myself falling down the rabbit hole again instantly (oh no)
